Music Friends :)

I'm very lucky to be surrounded by some really talented creatives. In my local secne and beyond there is really some increible music being created. I've tried to highlight some of those bands and projects here :)

Floralis

Rose makes transgender anarcho-punk hip hop with elements of art pop. Her lyrics reflect themes of anti-colonialism, pro sex work and general anarchism. She currently has two full length albums out at the moment "My Name is Floralis" and "Saboteur Club Anthems Vol. 1", both of which are fantasic. She also runs KVLL COLONISERS which focuses to run antifascist, anticolonialist live music events in Brighton. Her music and other projects are absolutely worth checking out if you haven't already!

Leibniz

Post-grunge, queercore locals Leibniz are one of my favourite Brighton bands right now. Their debut EP "Lifetime Patient" is frequently played in my walkman. Combining elements of grunge and hardcore Leibniz always know how to put on a great live show. The vocalist, Erin, also runs a tape distro/promtions company called Death Before Detransition focusing on bringing queercore to Brighton. I've been lucky enough to be on the lineup for two different show with Drive-by Kills and more recently [BRICK]. She has currently put out the Leibniz Promo tape and two issues of the Death Before Detransition zine.

M. Woodroe

I've been seeing M. Woodroe perform since they were a solo acoustic act. They currently only have one single out Carte Blanche
